An entry-level device from a storied manufacturer, the 2022 version of the Moto G Power doesn't exactly wow in terms of specs, but it's a reasonable choice among the various affordable Motorola smartphones. Like most of today's smartphones, it's a bit large and heavy, and most owners will want to protect it with a decent case.
There aren't a ton of options, but the available cases range from sleek and subtle to rugged and highly functional. You'll find some of the most respected brands represented here, as well as some lesser-known manufacturers that offer especially great value. Plus, with a good majority of these cases, several colorway options allow you to add a splash of color and personality to your device.
Motorola Protective Case for Moto G Power (2022)Best overall
The Motorola case sports a soft-touch finish with a clean, simple design that lets it nestle comfortably in hand. It provides decent protection that should prevent damage from minor bumps and scrapes, but you'll want to avoid big drops and hard impacts. Available in Black, Daybreak, Dusk Blue, Emerald, Living Coral, and Marsala, it has plenty of options to fit individual tastes. This case is especially good if you don't want to add any unnecessary bulk.
Poetic Revolution for Moto G Power (2022)Premium pick
When a slim case won't cut it, look to the Poetic Revolution. Its features are unmatched, with a built-in screen protector, port covers, and a sturdy kickstand that works in both portrait and landscape orientations. We always highlight the kickstand when talking about this case because it's the sturdiest and most balanced on the market. The Revolution is available in Black, Brown, Light Pink, Maroon Red, and Navy Blue.
Spigen Rugged Armor for Moto G Power (2022)Best value
The air cushion technology in Spigen's Rugged Armor keeps your phone safe from most drops and knocks. We've used this case for years across multiple devices, and it's never failed to keep our phones safe. It's made from TPU with a slightly rough texture that offers enough grip without feeling tacky. The result is a case that feels comfortable to hold and easy to use. Our only criticism is the lack of colors, as Rugged Armor only comes in black.
Suanpot Wallet for Moto G Power (2022)Best folio case
This Suanpot folio case boasts storage space for up to three cards and a few bills, so you don't have to carry a separate wallet all night. It's crafted from durable synthetic leather and comes in a wide range of colors, some understated and others bright and bold. Its three-way kickstand integrated within the front cover gives you the perfect viewing angle for whatever you're watching.
Poetic Guardian for Moto G Power (2022)
In contrast to the many over-engineered rugged cases outfitted with aggressive styling and bulky sides, the Poetic Guardian delivers all-around protection and a 6-foot drop rating in a good-looking and relatively slim form factor. The recessed, transparent rear panel helps it to look and feel less bulky than nearly anything else with a built-in screen protector. In light of the five fun colors it comes in, aside from boring black, this is one of our favorite modern cases.
i-Blason Cosmo for Moto G Power (2022)Promoted pick
In partnership with i-Blason$16 $22 Save $6
Few cases balance style and protection as well as i-Blason Cosmo, which boasts a snap-on front panel with an integrated screen protector. Its 10-foot drop rating is far better than what you'd expect from such a great-looking case, and it's not even that thick, considering how secure it is. It comes in three eye-catching yet classy patterns and colorways. The Marble finish is i-Blason's most popular version, but the Ocean variant has a stunning gold frame that's hard to top.
Spigen Ultra Hybrid for Moto G Power (2022)
Unlike ultra-cheap clear cases, the Spigen Ultra Hybrid won't continue to stretch and discolor over time, thanks to its combination of premium materials. Instead of a flexible back, its hard plastic rear panel adds an extra level of protection and long-term durability compared to other transparent options. It's the right choice if you want your Moto G Power to stay as compact as possible, and it barely costs more than $10.
Otterbox Commuter Series Lite for Moto G Power (2022)
In a slight departure from its normally massive and bulletproof cases, Otterbox's Commuter Series Lite aims to provide peace of mind and safety from drops in a slightly smaller package than usual. That's not to say it's super compact, but it does keep your Moto G Power out of harm's way nearly as well as the rest of the company's high-end options. If you want something that works great and doesn't stand out, this is the one for you.
WRJ Full Body for Moto G Power (2022)
The 2022 Moto G Power is not an expensive phone, so you probably don't need an expensive case — which is where the WRJ Full Body comes in. It's offered in black, blue, clear glitter, and green (well, actually teal) and is priced as low as any phone case we've ever seen. In addition, the soft-touch body feels fine to hold and doesn't get slippery around humidity or moisture. There's even a screen protector built into the front frame.
BNIUT Dual Layer case for Moto G Power (2022)
The BNIUT Dual Layer isn't complicated, hard to install, or expensive. On the contrary, it's about as affordable as they come and even includes a tempered glass screen protector. It's also one of the most grippy cases you'll find. Possibly more important, though, is the selection of a dozen colors to choose from, many of which are far brighter and more fun than other cases in this price range.
Keeping your Moto G Power (2022) safe
While the Moto G Power is fairly well known, you'll still find fewer cases for the 2022 Moto G Power than for most phones, but you will find some of the most renowned case families represented. The Spigen Rugged Armor, for example, continues its tradition of top-of-the-line protection in an unassuming and relatively compact case. It's also quite affordable, considering. The Poetic Revolution is even more rugged, although it's also pretty expensive.
For something a little more functional, we recommend the Suanpot Wallet folio case. While it's not made from real leather, you probably won't find any Moto G Power cases that are, and the Suanpot has more room inside than the average folio so you won't even need to carry a wallet anymore.
You can't beat Motorola's OEM protective case for the most consistently perfect fit, long-term durability, and balance of size and security. There's not much to it, but it has just the right amount of grip and will last at least as long as your phone.
On the other hand, if you're really into saving a couple of bucks, check out the WRJ Full Body and BNIUT Dual Layer. Both are $10 or less and include a screen protector — the WRJ's integrated into the front frame, and the BNIUT's a separate one made from tempered glass.
