Amazon's Prime Day has technically come to an end, and many of the great sales we tracked have gone cold. However, a bunch of our favorite Chromebooks are still available at the same discount we saw for the past two days. We always recommend buying during a sale — especially on big-ticket items like Chromebooks — and Prime Day provided plenty of opportunity to pick up a new computer on the cheap. If you missed the event but are still shopping around, you can check this list to see what deals are still live. With Auto Update Expiration (AUE) dates, pricing history, and market norms in mind, we can help you get the perfect deal on a Chromebook even though Prime Day proper has ended.
Best deals
Galaxy Chromebook 2
This gorgeous convertible Chromebook from Samsung is one the best you can buy right now. It has a killer 13.3-inch QLED display with an FHD resolution, and it's powered by an Intel Celeron processor that can easily handle productivity work and streaming. Shopping at Samsung can save you $100, bringing the total down to $450.
Samsung Galaxy Chromebook
The Galaxy Chromebook is one of our top picks when it comes to the best Samsung Chromebooks thanks to its 13.3-inch 4K AMOLED touch display, S-Pen for inking, and Intel Core i5 CPU and 256GB SSD. If you'd like one of the best displays around, you can right now get it for $739 instead of the regular $1,000 price.
Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go
Samsung's Galaxy Chromebook Go with LTE connectivity through AT&T is enjoying a huge 43% discount during Prime Day, bringing the total down to just $199. If you're a traveler, student, or just love having an internet connection anywhere you go, this should be a great choice.
Acer Chromebook 516 GE
Acer's Chromebook 516 GE is one of the best options for gaming on ChromeOS, including with Steam titles. It has a gorgeous 16-inch QHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate, Intel Core i5-1240P CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD. It's $150 off at Best Buy right now, bringing the total down to $499.
With many Prime Day deals winding down, we're glad that we can still find a bunch of savings on some of our favorite Chromebooks. All of these top deals, plus those listed below, have an AUE date that's not fast approaching. That means these Chromebooks will still get years of system and security updates from Google to keep them relevant even though they're on sale. I've already spotted a few deals on models that will see updates expire in a year or two; these are generally not worth your money, as you'll be spending again on a new Chromebook in just a few years.
Acer deals
Acer Chromebooks are among the most popular and reliable on the market, with many different configurations and designs at competitive prices. The Spin 314 is a relatively new device with an Auto Update Expiration date of June 2030. Its Intel Pentium Silver won't match the Spin 714's 12th Gen and 13th Gen Intel Core hardware (depending on which model you choose), but it's still a standout convertible Chromebook with a 14-inch touchscreen and 128GB of storage space for those who don't need as much power.
If you'd like a larger display, the Acer Chromebook 317 with a 17.3-inch FHD display is currently $200 off at Best Buy. That brings the total down to $299, which has to be up there with the best price we've seen.
Lenovo deals
The best Lenovo Chromebooks represent some of the best hardware on the market today, with the Lenovo Flex 5i 13 and the new Flex 3i (Gen 8) sitting near the top of the pile. The IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook is about the cheapest deal you'll find from Lenovo, and it should be a great choice for light productivity use and streaming thanks to its 14-inch FHD display. If you'd rather have a more traditional Chromebook, the 2-in-1 Duet 3 is $100 off at Best Buy, giving it the best price we've ever seen.
HP deals
HP puts a lot of focus on its business-oriented Chromebooks, but it also has tons of casual and consumer products to offer. We're still seeing savings on the Elite Dragonfly Pro at HP's official website, with a bunch of cheaper laptops also on sale. Best Buy has come through big with a bunch of deep sales on Chromebooks, including those from HP.
Asus deals
The Chromebook Flip CM3 is one of the better deals I saw during Prime Day, and it's still available as one of the best Asus Chromebooks. The roughly $400 price has been holding firm for months, so seeing it drop to $322 is a big deal. Though you'll get better performance from the CX5601, the Flip CM3's MediaTek 8192 CPU paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage should prove to be sufficient for productivity work and other light tasks. The real gem in the 12-inch HD touch display is the included stylus, which allows you to ink right out of the box.
Budget Chromebooks
Many great cheap Chromebooks will provide you with a smooth ChromeOS experience and the means to handle productivity work and homework. However, you'll often have to compromise on the display resolution and overall features.
While we've already highlighted some affordable Chromebooks made even better with Prime Day sales — like the Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5i — they can still be considered in the upper reaches of the budget range. Models with current sales, like the HP Chromebook 11a and Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go, are where we really get into the savings.
It can be particularly tough to weed out the good deals on Chromebooks that are already affordable, as there's much less pricing space to play around with. So, we're keeping a close eye on all Chromebooks, budget or not, to let you know about deals worth your time. Acer, Asus, HP, Lenovo, and Samsung all have some fantastic and affordable laptops — and each manufacturer is promoting some sales to make them even cheaper.

Amazon Prime
Amazon Prime has long since evolved from the days when it merely offered free two-day shipping and a burgeoning library of original shows. Prime now includes a music service, one of the most robust TV show and movie streaming services on the market, unique deals for its members — like free Twitch subscriptions and exclusive Whole Foods discounts — plus access to exclusive deals, especially on Amazon's unofficial-official holiday: Prime Day.
